How We Work

An IT partner that is accountable for outcomes

We are a managed IT provider like any other in what we do. The difference is in how we work. We agree what good looks like for your business, then hold ourselves to it.

Most IT support is judged on tickets closed and uptime percentages, measures that quietly reward a provider for being busy. We work to a clear process instead, with the things that actually matter to your business written down and reviewed. This page explains exactly how that works.

Accountable, not just reactive

Every IT provider keeps systems running and fixes what breaks. We do that too. But "did it break this month" is a low bar, and it quietly rewards a provider for fixing the same problem again and again. Here is the difference in mindset.

The usual approach
Reports on tickets closed and uptime percentages
Waits for things to break, then reacts
Recommends products from a catalogue
A proper review only if the client pushes for one
Aims to keep the lights on and avoid complaints
Decisions shaped by supplier incentives
Success means no major incident this month
The Nimble approach
Reports on what actually changed for your business
Looks for friction and removes it before you notice
Recommends only what genuinely serves your goals
Regular reviews built into the relationship
Aims to make a measurable contribution to the business
Decisions shaped by your commercial priorities
Success means technology moved the business forward

From first conversation to measurable impact

Every Nimble engagement follows the same five stages. Not because we are rigid, but because a clear process is what makes accountability possible. You always know what stage you are at and what comes next.

1

Discovery

We start with the business, not the IT. Where you are heading, what is holding you back, and what growth looks like for you. We then look at your current technology through that lens: what is working, what is costing you, and where the gaps are.

2

Alignment

Before any work begins, we agree what good looks like. Not generic service-level targets, but the things that genuinely matter to you, alongside a technology roadmap and the quick wins worth doing first.

3

Onboarding

We take over your environment through a structured first 90 days, securing the foundation and stabilising what needs it. It is transparent throughout: no surprises, no unexplained downtime, no sudden invoices. The full detail is below.

4

Delivery

Day to day, your team gets fast, friendly support. Behind the scenes we monitor, patch and improve continuously, and we bring opportunities to you: automation that saves time, changes that reduce cost or remove friction.

5

Review

We hold ourselves to what we agreed, through reviews built into the relationship rather than chased for. This is the mechanism that keeps us accountable, and it is explained in full further down the page.

Switching to us, without the disruption

Changing IT provider can feel like a risk. We make the move structured and transparent, so you always know what has been done and what is coming next. Here is what the first three months look like.

Days 1 to 30

Foundation

We audit your current environment in full, deploy our security baseline, and make sure your team has a working support route from day one. You get a named point of contact and a clear list of what has been done and what is next.

Days 31 to 60

Stabilise and improve

We resolve the issues the audit uncovered, optimise your Microsoft 365 setup, test your backup and recovery, and roll out monitoring across your environment. We also sit with your team to learn how they really use technology day to day.

Days 61 to 90

Align and accelerate

We hold your first technology review, agree what we will be measured against, and set the roadmap for the year ahead. From here the regular review rhythm begins and the accountability model is fully running.

The review rhythm that keeps us honest

Accountability only means something if it is measured. So it is built into the relationship on a set rhythm: an in-depth review once a year, supported by lighter check-ins each quarter. You never have to chase us for a proper conversation about how technology is performing.

Once a year

The in-depth annual review

  • Performance against what we agreed last year
  • Security posture: threats detected and resolved
  • Support performance, response times and issue trends
  • Microsoft 365 usage and where time is being lost
  • Automation and efficiency progress, and the return so far
  • IT spend against plan, and the roadmap for the year ahead
Every quarter

Lighter quarterly check-ins

  • Progress against the roadmap
  • Anything that has changed in the business
  • New risks or opportunities to flag
  • Priorities for the next few months

On our side, you meet the person responsible for your technology, not a junior account manager reading from a report. On your side, whoever makes the decisions. You leave with a clear view of what technology contributed, agreed priorities, an updated roadmap, any risks flagged, and an honest conversation, including what we think we could do better.

What you can hold us to

Accountability runs both ways. These are the commitments we make in every engagement, and you are entirely within your rights to hold us to each one.

We will agree what good looks like with you before we start, and report against it.

We will never recommend a product or service that does not serve your business goals.

We will be transparent when something goes wrong, and tell you what we are doing about it.

We will bring improvement ideas to you proactively, rather than wait to be asked.

We will speak plainly, with no jargon and no unnecessary complexity.

We will escalate technology risks to you before they become incidents.

We will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit for your business.
